Google Opens Gemini 4 Argon to AI Pro Subscribers in Antigravity With a Separate Weekly Quota

Google is rolling out Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity to AI Pro subscribers with a separate weekly quota, though its own launch post said Ultra only.

Google is rolling out Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity to paid Google AI Pro subscribers, according to the official Antigravity account on X. Pro users get "a separate weekly-only Argon quota for Pro on top of the existing Gemini bucket for 3.8 Flash." The account also said demand has been incredible and capacity was scaled deliberately. Antigravity's blog post says Argon is available to Pro and Ultra subscribers in the desktop app and the CLI.

The quota size is the missing number. Neither post says how many Argon requests a week Pro gets, or whether the week resets on a fixed day or rolls.

The context is a reversal. Google's October 13 launch post listed Antigravity access for Ultra subscribers only, and 9to5Google reported that the desktop app and CLI required Ultra. The cited posts do not establish exactly when that changed.

According to 9to5Google, introductory API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens through November 30, 2026, rising afterward to $4 and $20 respectively. Google lists a 95% discount for cached input tokens and a 1M unified input-output token limit.

My take: a separate bucket is the right design, because Argon can't eat your Flash allowance. But a quota with no published number is a rumor with a progress bar. Install it, run it, and watch how fast the meter moves.

Google is handing 10,000 scientists the top Antigravity tier free for six months, and now Pro subscribers get an Argon seat too. Generosity at this scale looks glorious from the cheap seats.

The announcement gives no number for the quota and no benchmark for what Pro users actually get. A limit without a figure is a footnote waiting to be written.
