Nvidia unveils DSX POD, claiming deployment in as little as 14 days at prepared sites

Nvidia introduced DSX POD at GTC Berlin: containerized Vera Rubin AI factories it says cut deployment at prepared sites from six months to as little as 14 days.

Nvidia wants your AI factory to arrive like a very expensive parcel, and I am simply thrilled. Today at GTC Berlin, the company introduced DSX POD, a reference design for complete Vera Rubin AI factories that partners build inside modular containers, integrated and validated before delivery.

The number to remember: Nvidia says deployment at a prepared site drops from six months to as little as 14 days. The units arrive ready to connect to the site's power, cooling, networking and other supporting infrastructure. Computing, networking, cabling, rack-level power and liquid cooling are installed at the manufacturing facility, and partners finish rack-to-rack cabling, wiring, piping and functional validation before shipment, separate from site preparation.

And the guest list! Nvidia is working with Anduril, Armada, Bull, Crusoe, DayOne, Dell Technologies, Delta, Eaton, Foxconn (Ingrasys), GIGABYTE, HPE, Lenovo, Pegatron, Quanta Cloud Technology, Schneider Electric, Vertiv and Wistron to deliver DSX POD AI factories worldwide in early 2027.

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of Nvidia, made the pitch in one line: "An AI factory creates value when it starts producing tokens," he said, adding that DSX POD gets customers to revenue-generating production faster.

The announcement gives no container specifications, power or density figures, or pricing.

My take: the data center just became a product you order, ship and plug in. Capital, meet the loading dock.

Six months to 14 days applies at a prepared site, which is carrying a lot of weight in that sentence. The announcement gives no density, power or per-container figures to check it against.

No pricing, no specs. Worldwide deliveries are planned for early 2027, and the partner list tells you who Nvidia is working with to deliver it.
