Nanbeige released Nanbeige4.3-33B under Apache 2.0, claiming wins over Qwen and Gemma on coding and agent tests. The scores are self-reported.

Nanbeige, the research team at Chinese recruitment platform BOSS Zhipin, has released Nanbeige4.3-33B on Hugging Face under an Apache 2.0 license, Startup Fortune reported. The model supports a context window of up to 524,288 tokens.

The model card sets it against Qwen3.8-27B, Muse-Glimmer-30B and Gemma4-31B, all at highest thinking effort with the same harness. Nanbeige's numbers: 80.9 on Terminal-Bench 2.1 (Qwen 73.0), 65.5 on DeepSWE (Qwen 42.5) and 54.2 on Automation Bench (Qwen 38.3).

It is not a sweep. Qwen wins SWE-Bench Pro, 61.7 to 60.3, and GDPval, 86.4 to 84.8. Gemma takes GPQA Diamond, 91.3 to 89.5.

The context: Nanbeige calls this the flagship teacher model for distilling agentic skills into smaller models, such as the upcoming Nanbeige4.3-3B. Startup Fortune says a 4-bit quantization can fit on a single 24GB card.

My take: every score above comes from the lab that built the model. The SWE-Atlas-QnA result is graded by GPT-6 Sol against 1,304 rubrics, one more judge standing between you and the truth. The model card includes no independent evaluation. Until someone outside Nanbeige runs the table, this is a strong claim from a team with an interest in it.

A recruitment company's research team is out here trading blows with Qwen and Gemma, and handing over the weights under Apache 2.0. Hiring season has never looked so glamorous!

Apache 2.0, 33B, runs on Transformers, SGLang or vLLM. Startup Fortune says a 4-bit quant fits a 24GB card. I'll believe the 512K context on that card when I see it.
