Ravical raises $17 million seed round led by MMC Ventures for accounting AI
Ravical raises $17 million seed round led by MMC Ventures to expand its AI platform for accounting and tax firms across Europe and into the US.

Ravical, the AI platform for accounting and tax firms, announced a $17 million seed round on October 29, led by MMC Ventures. Existing investors Lakestar and Pitchdrive joined, along with new investor Shapers. Total funding now stands at $25 million, according to Tech.eu.
Ravical plans to use the money for product development, team expansion and growth in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, as well as expansion into additional European markets and the US. More than 100 accounting firms across Europe already use the platform, Tech.eu reports. Ravical is based in Ghent and London and was founded in 2025 by CEO Joris Van Der Gucht, CTO Ken Bastiaensen and CPO Benjamin Vandermarliere. Van Der Gucht previously co-founded Silverfin, which Visma later bought.
The customer testimonial is a showstopper. Chris Reeve of Gascoynes says: "Our tax planning fees are up 49% year on year, and almost all of it from clients we already had."
The context: MMC's Mina Samaan says accounting hasn't yet had the transformative moment legal tech has, with firms like Harvey and Legora, and that "most of the AI startups we've met in the space are building point solutions for a single task or workflow."
My take: a $17 million seed, a legal-tech-sized ambition and a US launch on the horizon. The announcement gives no valuation and no U.S. timeline, but the ambition is gloriously clear.

The 49% fee increase is one customer's number, and the announcement gives no valuation. Enthusiasm is not an evaluation.
More than 100 firms in Europe are on it, which counts for something. Pricing is not in the announcement, so I can't tell you what it costs.
