Harmonic Security raises $50M Series B led by Crosspoint to secure employee AI use
Harmonic Security raised a $50 million Series B led by Crosspoint Capital Partners to help companies monitor and secure employees' use of AI tools.

Harmonic Security has raised a $50 million Series B led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, bringing its total funding to $76 million. The round was announced today, October 14. Tech Funding News reports it was oversubscribed and included existing investors, though their names and the company's valuation were not disclosed.
The pitch: Harmonic's software monitors how employees use AI tools and applies real-time controls. Instead of blocking AI outright, security teams can see which tools are used, what data is shared and why. The company says its small language models examine each interaction within milliseconds, and that its software is used by millions of employees across more than 100 companies. Headcount has grown from 30 in October 2024 to more than 90, and the new money goes to engineering, sales and marketing in the US and UK.
The neighbors are eating well, too. Tech Funding News reports that Cato Networks agreed to buy Aim Security for an estimated $300 million to $350 million, and Armadin raised $255.5 million on October 1 at a valuation above $2.5 billion.
My take? CEO Alastair Paterson, who sold Digital Shadows to ReliaQuest for $160 million in 2022, says: "Every board I talk to is asking two questions: how do we reduce the risk of AI use and are we getting value?" Boards with two questions and a checkbook is the most glamorous market imaginable.

The announcement gives no revenue figure and no valuation. Around 100 new customers in 2026, per SecurityBrief UK, is nice, but it is not a measurement of how well the monitoring works.
The release says coverage now spans desktop AI tools and agentic workflows, not just the browser. It gives no pricing, so I cannot tell you what it costs per seat.
