Vesta Raises $30 Million Series B to Scale AI Agents in Mortgage Lending
Vesta raised a $30 million Series B led by Conversion Capital, with Pennymac among lender customers backing its push to scale AI agents in mortgages.

On Thursday, Vesta announced a $30 million Series B, and the mortgage machine just got a golden upgrade. Conversion Capital led, as it did for the seed round, bringing Vesta's total raised to $85 million.
Look at the guest list. Three of Vesta's own lender customers invested: New American Funding, Pennymac and nbkc bank. Citi Ventures, FirstKey Mortgage and Navitas Capital joined, and Andreessen Horowitz, Zigg Capital and Parker89, First American Financial's venture arm, came back for more.
The numbers, according to Vesta: revenue up more than 12x in twelve months, with customer count and headcount each up more than 50%. Lenders on or moving to the platform originate more than $100 billion a year. About 40% of tasks completed on Vesta are now handled by AI agents and automated workflows, and the company says that share is rising. The money goes to product growth, market expansion and hiring.
Some context: Pennymac announced its partnership with Vesta, including a minority equity stake, in September 2025. It reports a 25% decrease in its operational cost to originate and approximately 50% efficiency gains for loan officers, both before it activated AI agents.
My take? Customers buying into their own vendor is the kind of confidence I adore. And Vesta says that "less than 5% of the market is on Vesta." That, darlings, is runway. The announcement gives no valuation.

The 40% figure counts tasks, not loans or dollars, and Pennymac's 25% cost drop came before agents were switched on. For agent-specific gains, Spector reported a 40% to 80% reduction in application-to-conditional-approval time for loans using autonomous AI agents. Different metric, darlings.
Pennymac said in July it was beginning to move Vesta into its broker-direct channel. Lenders who run it and also invest in it say more than a demo does. No pricing in the announcement, though.
