Anthropic is taking its blockbuster IPO to Australia, darlings. The company plans to let Australian investors buy shares directly in its US offering, and the Australian Financial Review says the filings name that market a priority.

CommSec, the country's largest retail stockbroker, will begin marketing Anthropic within days, according to the AFR, joining smaller online brokers already promoting it. ABC reports that Macquarie Capital will act as sub-underwriter and Australian coordinator.

Now the numbers. Anthropic is looking to raise about $US100 billion, which ABC says would beat SpaceX's $US85.7 billion Nasdaq debut in June. Third-quarter revenue rose to $US16 billion, per ABC, and the IPO filing shows losses of $114 billion. The prospectus landed late Monday night. It proposes a Nasdaq listing under the ticker ANT, and the AFR says the plan is to list before year-end. Our full S-1 breakdown is here.

How wide the door opens is still unclear. The AFR reports retail brokers are promoting the IPO and Anthropic is targeting wealthy Australian investors, while ABC says investors may take part directly if they are wholesale investors, or through ETFs. The S-1 leaves the share count and price range blank.

My take: Australia gets a front-row seat at a planned raise that would eclipse SpaceX's record, and the broker queue is forming already. Everything is historic. Especially today.

A $US100 billion raise, and the S-1 leaves the share count and price range blank. Two outlets also give different third-quarter revenue figures. I will wait for the numbers that come with a footnote.

Ticker is ANT. Price is blank. CommSec marketing starts within days, so you can open the brokerage app now and wait for a number to appear.
