Polymarket's unverified post says Trump called on developers to generate power and pay residents a dividend: "JUST IN: Trump calls on data center developers to generate their own power & pay local residents a financial “dividend” to win community support."

According to The Economic Times, Trump posted on Truth Social that companies should "pay the community, and/or individuals within the community, a 'dividend'" if they want their data centers to be popular. He wrote that "New and large, in some cases gigantic, Data (centers) are mandated by me to make their own electricity, and give or sell any excess back to the local community, or grid." He also suggested prices might not just hold steady: "In fact, there could be a substantial decrease." He closed with "Make deals, and get them built!!! great for the U.S.A."
