> Our Sunday, October 25 round table covers all 22 stories: Anthropic's reported IPO filing, SpaceX's $40 billion GPU debt claim, chip-backed loans and a very old CNN.

![Illustration-style editorial photo of a tech CEO in three-quarter view at a conference table with advisers, in warm window light](https://goldenera.si/media/articles/sunday-round-table-october-25-anthropic-ipo-spacex-debt/hero-og.jpg)

**Aurelia Crown:** Welcome to our recap of Sunday, October 25. Golden Era ran exactly 22 stories that day, and we are covering every one. Let's start with the money, because the money started the day. [IFR reported](https://goldenera.si/news/anthropic-ipo-filing-rumor/) that Anthropic plans to file its IPO documents publicly with the SEC on October 26. The target is up to $100 billion raised at a $2 trillion valuation, with a listing in mid-November.

**Hari Sterne:** IFR puts third-quarter revenue at $16.8 billion, up 45% from $11.6 billion. DA Davidson's Gil Luria estimates annual recurring revenue at $74 billion. Those are a reporter's number and an analyst's estimate, not a prospectus. NYC Comptroller Mark Levine has already asked Dario Amodei to pause until safety, governance and the pace of development are "fully and transparently" addressed.

**Zola Kade:** Meanwhile OpenAI is [offering discounts of up to 90 percent](https://goldenera.si/news/openai-discounts-anthropic-customers-replit/) to pry customers from Anthropic. Replit got more than 30% off a contract worth $100 million or more a year. Rippling's CEO says OpenAI's share of its coding workload went from 16 to 52 percent, and Anthropic's fell from 57 to 18.

**Aurelia Crown:** Discounts as a weapon. I love a price war with a trillion-dollar backdrop. And Anthropic had a rougher Friday: Authentic Brands Group, which controls Elvis Presley's music, likeness and trademarks, [sued over 274 songs](https://goldenera.si/news/elvis-presley-estate-sues-anthropic-274-songs/). It is seeking about $41.1 million, which is $150,000 per song.

**Hari Sterne:** That is statutory damages, so the arithmetic is the whole argument. Also in the Anthropic file: unverified X posts claimed Anthropic had launched [Opus 5.5](https://goldenera.si/news/opus-5-5-anthropic-rumor-unverified-x/) and that OpenRouter token volume rose 3.6x. No announcement, no benchmark. A rumor with a multiplier attached.

**Zola Kade:** And Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark [moved his forecast](https://goldenera.si/news/jack-clark-self-improvement-forecast-2027/). He now thinks full recursive self-improvement is more likely to become possible in 2027, where before he thought 2028.

**Aurelia Crown:** Now the debt, darlings. Elon Musk says on X that [SpaceX closed $40 billion of debt for GPUs](https://goldenera.si/news/spacex-40-billion-debt-gpus-neoclouds/), mostly callable, for purchases arriving in Q1 and Q2. He also says more than 200 neoclouds face death and consolidation. SpaceX revenue rose 161% to $14.58 billion last quarter, and capital expenses nearly tripled to $19.6 billion.

**Hari Sterne:** The open questions are the lenders, the rates, the covenants and which GPUs. A post on X contains none of them.

**Aurelia Crown:** Contrast that with Bloomberg's account of how [a $2.3 billion CoreWeave loan](https://goldenera.si/news/blackstone-coreweave-chip-backed-debt-blueprint/) from Blackstone and Magnetar in 2023, secured by Nvidia chips and Microsoft contracts, became the template for chip-backed debt. By March 2026 CoreWeave had $8.5 billion backed by Meta contracts, with part of it at 5.9%, down from mid-teens rates.

**Hari Sterne:** Fitch is worried about vendor financing "at a scale that we've never seen before" with concentrated risk. JPMorgan, meanwhile, sees AI chip spending possibly above $3 trillion through 2030. Both can be true, which is how bubbles and booms usually coexist.

**Zola Kade:** The trading desks are buying too. [Jane Street runs over 4,000 GPUs](https://goldenera.si/news/jane-street-hudson-river-trading-ai-compute/) in Texas and spends $1 billion a year on AI. XTX Markets built a €1 billion data center in Finland.

**Aurelia Crown:** And a hardware windfall. Dong-A Ilbo reports [SK Hynix may pay a special dividend](https://goldenera.si/news/sk-hynix-special-dividend-kioxia/) of 16 trillion won ($12 billion), roughly 23,000 won a share, funded by selling its Kioxia stake. Plus Anwar Ibrahim says [Masayoshi Son plans $50 billion](https://goldenera.si/news/softbank-son-50-billion-malaysia-tech-investment/) for tech, data centers and AI in Malaysia, across Sarawak, Kuching and the Malay Peninsula.

**Zola Kade:** Wall Street is nervous about all of it. The Nasdaq fell 2.6% on Thursday, its worst day since June 5, and Meta dropped nearly 7% after lifting 2026 capex guidance to $135 billion to $145 billion. [Alphabet and Microsoft report Wednesday](https://goldenera.si/news/big-tech-earnings-week-ai-spending-nasdaq-selloff/).

**Aurelia Crown:** And voters are not all thrilled about where the money lands. A [POLITICO poll](https://goldenera.si/news/politico-poll-voters-sour-data-centers/) finds Americans increasingly oppose data centers near home and favor candidates who oppose them over those who support them.

**Hari Sterne:** On to the research. Cerebras published a post splitting a 3-trillion-parameter model, Kimi K3, across 59 WSE-3T wafers. It calls that ["an illustrative example"](https://goldenera.si/news/cerebras-trillion-parameter-models-deployment/) and does not say who runs it. The best result of the day: Dr. Magnus Lynch's 200-lesion test, where a [2015 CNN got 125 right](https://goldenera.si/news/cnn-beats-frontier-llms-skin-cancer-diagnosis/), 62%. GPT-6 Astra and Claude Fable 5.1 got 84 and 85, both 42%.

**Aurelia Crown:** A ten-year-old beating the stars. Historic.

**Hari Sterne:** Also, a study at the ACM Web Conference 2026 found [96% of 2,050 ChatGPT memory entries](https://goldenera.si/news/chatgpt-memory-study-96-percent-unilateral/) across 80 users were triggered unilaterally by ChatGPT. And 35% of participants had health data stored; OpenAI's documentation says that requires an explicit user request.

**Zola Kade:** Things you can run. [OpenMobile-2 scored 59.6 on SPA-Bench](https://goldenera.si/news/openmobile-2-open-smartphone-agent-android/), which the authors call the best among open models, trained on workflows generated by Gemini 3.1 Pro. [Nanbeige4.3-33B](https://goldenera.si/news/nanbeige-4-3-33b-apache-open-model/) is on Hugging Face under Apache 2.0 with a 524,288-token context window. Its wins over Qwen and Gemma are self-reported.

**Zola Kade:** Nvidia open-sourced Flora and [projects robot-video labeling at $0.72 an hour](https://goldenera.si/news/nvidia-flora-robot-video-labeling-open-source/) against $88.49 for GPT-6 Astra, assuming $10 per GPU hour. And ETH Zurich taught a Unitree G1 to [climb ladders from 13.2 minutes](https://goldenera.si/news/eth-zurich-attention-contact-planner-unitree-g1/) of human motion data.

**Aurelia Crown:** Musk also touted a [Grok Bot that can phone businesses](https://goldenera.si/news/grok-bot-phone-calls-restaurants-clawcall/). Advance Intelligence says it was built by user Brian Roemmele using the third-party dialer ClawCall.

**Zola Kade:** Whether the bot tells the person on the line it is automated is an open question.

**Aurelia Crown:** Two to close. The Verge's The Stepback examined how [Google's AI search changes upended online publishing](https://goldenera.si/news/google-ai-search-upended-online-publishing/). And [Baba raised a $40 million Series A](https://goldenera.si/news/baba-40-million-series-a-firstmark-medicare-ai/) led by FirstMark, bringing total funding to $47 million, for care navigation for Medicare and Medicaid patients. CMS picked it in June for the 10-year ACCESS Model, and it says 100,000 families are on its waiting list.

**Hari Sterne:** A waiting list is a demand figure, not an outcome.

**Aurelia Crown:** Everything is historic. Especially today.
