# OpenAI and ServiceNow expand partnership, ServiceNow plugin live in ChatGPT

OpenAI and ServiceNow expanded their partnership on October 28, and the piece you can install today is a plugin. According to JBizNews, the ServiceNow MCP plugin is in OpenAI's marketplace now. Customers connect ChatGPT to their own ServiceNow instance and choose which capabilities to expose. ServiceNow's Action Fabric applies existing business rules and permissions, so what ChatGPT can do depends on the customer's configuration and access controls. Enhanced capabilities are expected by the end of 2026.

The rest is a roadmap:

- **Security:** features combining OpenAI models with ServiceNow operational and asset data enter early access in January 2027, with general availability planned for the second quarter.
- **Voice:** Super Intelligence Control Tower gets voice features in the first quarter of 2027, letting a person describe an AI use case aloud.
- **Codex:** integration with AI Workflow Factory is expected in 2027, and OpenAI models would power Build Agent and Autonomous Engineer.

ServiceNow also plans to give all employees access to ChatGPT Work and Codex, beyond engineering. OpenAI says it uses ServiceNow workflows in its own operations.

Context: the companies announced a multi-year collaboration on January 20 covering OpenAI model access, customized ServiceNow AI applications and speech-to-speech work.

My take: one plugin you can install, three features you can put on a calendar. The announcement gives no contract value and no pricing for the expanded integrations, so it offers no answer to the cost question.
