NVIDIA's RTX Spark laptops are on sale globally today, October 16, from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI, starting at $2,599, according to NVIDIA.

The chip pairs an Arm-based Grace CPU of up to 20 cores, designed with MediaTek, with a Blackwell RTX GPU of up to 6,144 cores, linked at 600 GB/s. NVIDIA quotes up to 128GB of unified memory and one petaflop of FP4 AI performance. Digit reports the shared LPDDR5X pool runs at 300 GB/s. The lineup includes the Dell XPS 16, Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n and Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra.

The 128GB configuration is where the money goes. Digit puts the Surface Laptop Ultra at $5,899. Prices for the other models and battery runtimes are not in the launch materials.

NVIDIA says compact desktops built for always-on agents are scheduled for November. Digit reports that DGX Station for Windows, with 748GB of coherent memory and up to 20 petaflops of FP4 compute, is scheduled for December. Digit also notes the laptops lack the ConnectX-7 ports found on DGX boxes, which makes chaining machines harder, and that NVIDIA's PAIR, which spreads local inference across a network, reached general availability October 13 under Apache 2.0.

My take: local models live and die on memory bandwidth, so 300 GB/s is the spec I'd read before the badge. The entry price gets you in. The memory is the invoice.
