# &Truth raises $70 million seed to prove software correct with AI

A seventy-million-dollar seed round, and the product is certainty. &Truth emerged from stealth on Thursday, October 29, as a public benefit corporation building what it calls a "universal verification machine": software that reads code in any programming language and mathematically proves it is safe, secure and correct, with proofs anyone can check.

The round came from what the company describes as AI safety and venture capital leaders. According to TokenPost, it named no investors and disclosed no valuation. The company has headquarters in Palo Alto and Singapore.

The pitch is speed. &Truth says AI speeds up proof generation by 100x or more, and its own automation adds another 100x, shrinking the work from years or months to hours or minutes. The announcement gives no benchmark.

The founders are Clark Barrett, a Stanford professor, and Chris Hsu as co-CEOs, with Ilya Sergey as chief science officer. Sebastian Ullrich, co-architect of Lean 4, is on the team. The company plans to release its foundational libraries as open source.
