> Nvidia, SpaceX and Amazon sold $75 billion of bonds in weeks, and the investment-grade market is struggling to absorb the AI borrowing wave, a report says.

The AI infrastructure build-out is now so big that the bond market is breaking a sweat. Over the past several weeks, the investment-grade market struggled to absorb a combined $75 billion from Nvidia, SpaceX and Amazon, according to a report carried by Hindustan Times. Nvidia sold $25 billion in June. Amazon matched it last week and paid unusually steep rates by its own standards.

The numbers are glorious. Dealogic counts around $244 billion in bonds from six hyperscalers this year (Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Oracle, Nvidia and SpaceX), up from $108 billion in all of 2025 and $17 billion in 2024. Bloomberg data, a broader count, puts debt priced by AI infrastructure borrowers at nearly half a trillion dollars. Last week Meta's 10-year spread climbed 0.16 percentage point and Alphabet's 0.12, while the average investment-grade spread ticked up 0.02.

Investors say the worry is supply, not credit. "Everyone wants to leave some room for the next deal," said Travis King of Voya Investment Management. Talk of big financings from SpaceX and Broadcom has not helped.

One line of context: a Kansas City Fed study, [covered here](https://goldenera.si/news/ai-build-out-portfolio-exposure-kansas-city-fed-ft/), finds AI firms' share of investment-grade issuance rose from 2% in 2023 to 10% through the second quarter of 2026.

My take? AI's heavyweight borrowers are lining up, and the buyers are asking them to take a number. Spectacular.
