# AI agent deleted TV4's finished The Challenge Sverige season, Aftonbladet reports

Aftonbladet reports that an AI agent deleted the finished season of TV4's "The Challenge Sverige" from a server, with no way to recover the project. According to its sources, production company Mastiff had let the agent into that server. The season was due to premiere on November 22; Aftonbladet places the deletion just five weeks before that date.

The sources say hundreds of days of work are gone and hundreds of people must step in to re-edit. TV4 confirms the season must be recut and the premiere pushed to 2027. No date is set.

TV4 press contact Ludvig Ternstedt said production reported a "tekniskt haveri" (a technical failure) that made edited material vanish, and the channel says it is unaware of Aftonbladet's claim that AI did it. Mastiff CEO Matilda Snöwall declined to comment and referred questions to TV4.

For context, Sveriges Radio's P3 tech reporter Evelina Galli said agents need clear restrictions on what they can access, because they can misinterpret even the simplest instructions. Host Ahmed Berhan, 41, laughed when Aftonbladet called and said he knew AI would be the death of him.
